He further stated that he will be searching for short-term projects later than the second edition of PSL.

In the meantime, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury affirmed Aaqib’s rejection stating that they are searching for other aspirants.

Chowdhury said that “After we contacted him, Aaqib considered our proposal but [declined] because it would be very difficult to handle two important positions at the same time,” Chowdhury further added that “As we were doing before, we are looking for other options in this position.”

On Sunday beginning, BCB president Nazmul Hassan told that Aaqib was to be given the role.

Hassan said that “We are in touch with Aaqib,” Hassan continued “Our CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed us that we will get an answer from him – yes or no – by the day after tomorrow (Tuesday). We are also discussing if we can talk about the alternatives.”
