Above 4 Tons contaminated Meat seized from Punjab91 views
LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority and the Live Stock Department have seized 400- kg of contaminated meat from the markets of Punjab and arrested 17 people in connection with this criminal activity.
According to the details, Food Minister Punjab Bilal Yasin and PFA Director Ayesha Mumtaz held a press conference in Lahore and it was announced that Punjab Food Authority’s activities has been expanded to the whole province to curb food safety problems.
The Food Minister said that they are not sure about the alleged pork meat seized from Lahore yesterday and but DNA test of the sample will clear the air.
Mr. Bilal Yasin further said that the food department were receiving information that Pork meat coming to Lahore from Rawalpindi but we were not sure about it because no clue of the receiver.
It is pertinent to mention that PFA seized a huge amount of alleged pork meat from Lahore’s Nolakha Station during a raid and arrested on person involved in it.
