Ali will be seen in a special role in Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive

The sequel of the big hit 2010 comedy, Tere Bin Laden, is going to release next month and the Pakistani singer Ali Zafar, who played the leading role in the film, will be seen in a special guest appearance in its sequel, Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive. In Tere Bin Laden Ali played the role of an ambitious reporter who deceived the media through a fictitious video of Osama Bin Laden. The follow-up, though, portrays the story of a Delhi-based film-maker keen to perform a big movie project with his father.

The director of the movie, Abhishek Sharma, told at the launch of the film’s trailer, “The journey of Ali’s character from the first film has been completed and this film is about the character of Sharma, played by Manish Paul,” he further added that “In this film, Ali has a very special role. When you watch the film, you will understand why he couldn’t do the main role,”

The director continued by saying that the audience will not miss Ali in the movie, “I think the trailer has given enough hints if you can identify them. Only Ali could’ve played this special role and I don’t think he could’ve played what Manish is playing. The answer lies in the film once you see it,”

Manish, the leading actor of the sequel, shared that how he initially met Abhishek for a small role in another movie but the director advised him to perform the lead in Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive in its place. “I’m very excited because everyone wanted to do this film and I got the opportunity to be a part of it,” told Manish. “We’re ready with it and I’m sure people will like it too.”

The movie is scheduled to be released on 19 February and the cast also includes actors like Pradhuman Singh, Piyush Mishra and Sikandar.
