American Idol nears its end



The record-breaking show, American Idol is going to end which has launched a lot of the brightest amusement careers in recent times.

The fifteenth and final season of the music reality competition series debuted on Fox. Tough competition, turning down admiration amid millennials for live television and a new trend of signing a record deal after being discovered on YouTube means that the public has lost its taste for American Idol.

It was announced at the last season when the winner was crowned in April by its magnetic host Ryan Seacrest that it will be the end.

A sequel of well-liked British series Pop IdolAmerican Idol started in 2002 and brought in record spectators between 2003 and 2011, terminating in standard presentation figures of 31.2 million in its 2005-06 peaks.

The set-up was straightforward: thousands of aspirant singers trance of prominence audition prior to a panel of celebrity judges, and then struggle for to keep their positions every week in a sing-off decided by a civic vote.
TV talent shows date back to the mid-20th century. Dominic Caristi, professor of telecommunications at Ball State University, stated that “We had talent shows as far back as the late 40s and early 50s,” he further said, “Talent competitions are not new. But what was new here, the show reinvigorated this idea that people could become a star.”

Kelly Clarkson was the initial victor of the show in 2002 and was the 20-year-old cocktail waitress from Texas at that time then she sold more than 10 million albums and also bagged three Grammy Awards.

Carrie Underwood was the victor of 2005 and has been selling almost 60 million albums. Winner Jennifer Hudson also won an Oscar and a Grammy as a singer and actress.

Simon Fuller told as, “We genuinely create superstars,” continued by saying, “That’s the thing about American Idol that sets us apart.”

Ryan Seacrest carries on his role as host, whereas Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. all returned as judges.

Christi stated as, “I think it changed, certainly network television in America. Shows like Survivor and American Idol set the tone for reality shows we’re watching today,”

The reason behind television, American Idol, is the rise of the internet for the last 10 years and online consumption of music and videos.

Christi continued by saying, “Young people who want to be rock stars now have this hope of making a video, submit it somewhere, get attention and become stars,”

Justin Bieber and Lana Del Rey are among those who have been discovered in the last 10 years after self-promoting their music on YouTube.
