Anushka comments on Salman’s ‘Rape Women’ remark1,958 views
Anushka Sharma, who has recently appeared in Salman Khan’s hit Sultan — is the most recent Bollywood celerity to state on the superstar’s ‘Rape Women’’ comment.
She stated in a recent interview when it was said to remark on the controversy connecting her Sultan co-star, and Anushka stated, “I feel like it was insensitive and something that I was a bit surprised by.
However, she indicated one good thing that appears on it: “It made me think about how each one of us has a responsibility towards what we speak in any place. Whatever you say, you have to be aware of that. I think we celebrities have to be more aware of what we are saying.”
The 28-year-old actress further added that “You hear people say things like ‘Oh I had a tough day, feel like I was raped.’ People have realized that this can’t be taken lightly or the word ‘rape’ can’t be used loosely which is the only positive thing about this,”
But she surprised people by her comments when it was inquired that if she would recommend Salman to apologise on his remark, Anushka disclosed that she doesn’t have that equation with him because she “doesn’t know him at all.”
He stated that “I don’t know him at all. I have done one film with him and that’s the amount of interaction I’ve had with him,”
She continued that “Salman is intimidating and he is not someone who would go out of his way to make you feel comfortable. He’s going to be himself and he’ll just do his thing. And I’m very shy as a person so I can’t bridge that gap either. We don’t have that kind of an equation where we have conversations,”
In the meantime, Anushka, who is at present outing high on the triumph of Sultan, is keen to work in Hollywood, as she feels it would be a “great opportunity”.
When it was inquired that whether she would like to work in a Hollywood venture then the NH10 star said that “Yeah, it would be a great opportunity, because as an actor you would want to do all kinds of work. Working in a different set-up will be interesting”.
Nevertheless, Anushka added that she is “not actively trying to get work from outside”.
She continued “I feel today is the right time for Indians and other representations we are getting in international films… So (I would like to do) something where I am not playing a stereotype of an Indian and something interesting and realistic,”
The 28-year-old actor further added that she wouldn’t do something in Hollywood that she hasn’t tried in Bollywood.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jori actress further stated “Something that I am not doing here (Bollywood), I would not do it in Hollywood either. It would always be contented or a challenge that would take me there, (and) for no other reason I would work there because ultimately for me everything is the same as long as I get to play a good and challenging role any place is most welcome,”
