Atif Aslam wants to act on good scripts

Pakistani well-known singer, Atif Aslam, has stated that he also wants to act and share screen space while denying the rumors of many that he doesn’t want to act.

Acting is not new for him because earlier he has performed his acting skills on the big screen in Bol. Yet Atif, who has lent vocals to several Bollywood hits, is set to venture again into acting after a five-year pause.

The Tajdar-e-Haram singer is ready to act in a well-scripted project as he was giving an interview and revealed that “I think main people ek kaam theek tarah se kar loon...,” he further continued by saying that “I had debuted with Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol. It was critically acclaimed. Post that, I haven’t gotten the right kind of script.”

The rock star further added, “I would love to act. I am looking for something that intrigues and interests me. I don’t know why but people feel that I don’t want to act — that’s not true. I am looking for an intense story,”

Eventually, he also told regarding his choice of music and shared that he is comfortable with melancholic numbers, “I am comfortable doing both kinds of songs — sad as well as peppy. It is just that for a happy song you need to gear yourself up.” Then the singer continued that “You can try different styles and experiment with it or sing it in many ways — that is the reason it takes longer to record such numbers. Sad, emotional songs come easily to me,”

At present Atif, is busy in working on different tracks and revealed that “I am working on singles and I am planning to go back to my roots. I have recorded a couple of songs and will do a few more,” he further added.
