Big Names Target for Pakistan Super League



Kieron Pollard of West Indies, Tillakaratne Dilshan from Sri-Lanka and New Zealand’s Grant Elliot are one of the few Big Names who have shown their interest to play in the first edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

These are the possible big-signings for the inaugural edition of PSL, Pollard with five other West Indies players, three players from Sri-Lanka including Dilshan, two players from New Zealand including Elliot, two from England, South Africa and one from Australia are on the target list for the super league.

According to former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi, who is now serving as head of Executive Committee announced last month that 25 foreign players will feature in the twice-postponed PSL which is scheduled to be hosted by Qatar in February 2016.


PCB planned this T20 tournament in 2013 and twice if was postponed, first in 2014 and then in 2015 due to the lack of response from the sponsors. The league was also going to be played at United Arab Emirates where Pakistan usually plays its home games, but due to unavailability of the grounds it will took place at Doha, Qatar.
