Ilayaraja comes from a very poor background. He started of his career in the early 70’s and worked in various places. His debut as a music director happened through the 1976 Tamil film, ‘Annakkili’. This film introduced a fusion of western music with Tamil idioms to the audience. It was fresh and rejuvenating. From then on, Ilayaraja became the eye candy for most directors. Ilayaraja never failed to prove himself in every single project he worked on.
