My fondest memory of Eid is from my growing up years in Delhi. On Eid, I used to go to my dadi’s (paternal grandmother) house in Nizamuddin. “All the cousins used to ask the elders for eidi. Everyone would give a different kind of Eidi, but there was this one uncle, who would give us Rs 50 each. By the end of the day, we would all sit, and count the total amount each one of us had got and then compare it”. Sweet, isn’t it?
