NEW DELHI: Following strong backlash against Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali at home for ‘wrong’ rendition of national anthem, it’s now turn of legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachhan who is also facing similar accusations by some in India.
According to DNA India, said that one Ulhas PR, who had filed a similar complaint at Juhu police station against Big B, also alleged that the Bollywood megastar had been singing the anthem incorrectly even during pro-Kabaddi league.
Earlier there were reports that the actor charged 4 crores as his appearance fee during the match. However, CAB President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly had clarified that Amitabh did not ‘charge a single penny’ for his performance. Instead, Ganguly said that Bachchan had paid Rs 30 lakhs from his own pocket for his travel and stay in Kolkata.
