Chile qualifies for last eight, Ecuador beats Mexico, Neymar out of Copa America


Sanchez-1SANTIAGO: The hosts for Copa America 2015 Chile become the first nation to qualify for the last eight, Ecuador stuns Mexico and another shocking news is that Brazil’s captain Neymar is out for the whole of Copa America.

The Chilean attack tor apart Bolivia’s defensive line to qualify for the last eight of the Copa America, a comprehensive win by Chile as the sealed the victory by a demolishing 5-0 final score. Midfielder Charles Aranguiz scored the opening goal of the match in the starting minutes of the game.


Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez doubled the lead of Chile by scoring a brilliant header in 37th minute of the match, Aranguiz scored his second goal of the match in the 66th minute of the game followed by a goal from Inter Milan defender Medel who scored from a perfect finish in the 80th minute of the game to make it 4-0.

The fifth goal of the match was an own goal scored by Bolivia’s skipper Ronald Raldes, which came in the 86th minute of the match.


Mexico is having a terrible run in this year’s Cope America, as they have drawn their opening match with Bolivia 0-0 and a 3-3 draw with host nation Chile and now a loss against Ecuador by 2-1.

Just like Mexico, Brazil is also struggling to qualify for last eight of Copa America. The five time World Champions have won their opening game against Peru in the stoppage time by 2-1, but a shocking loss to their arch rivals Colombia by 1-0. The biggest shock from this game came after match when skipper Neymar was shown a red card, after the hearing on Friday Barcelona’s Wonder-Boy has been fined $10,000 and banned for four games.
