Coke Studio pays rich tribute to martyrs


KARACHI: The artists performing in the upcoming season of popular Pakistani music program Coke Studio paid a rich tribute to the martyrs by performing the national song Aye Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo.

The artists which sang the latest version of the song included several of the most famous celebrities including Zeb Bangash, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Sanam Marvi, Ali Azmat, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Noori, Quratulain Baloch, Faakhir, Abida Parveen and Amjad Sabri.

“Dedicated to those who sacrificed their todays for our tomorrow,” the message at the end of the video read.

Aye Rah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo is one of the most heard patriotic songs. Sung by Madam Noor Jahan in the 60s, it is still heard by the nation till this day. It should be noted that Coke Studio had released their version of Sohni Dharti Allah Rakhe last year.


The ninth season of Coke Studio will air on 13th August. #CokeStudio becomes top trend on Twitter Coke Studio became the top trend on micro-blogging website Twitter soon after the song was released.
