Confidence is important in front of camera

Since Pakistani actress and host Saba Qamar has announced her visit to Bollywood industry to debut in a movie opposite Indian star Irrfan Khan, she has been in captions on either side of the border.

It is her confidence which bestowed her to become a part of Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium. She was stating in an interview about her acting philosophy “An actor needs to be shameless in front of the camera,”

Stating regarding her Bollywood venture, Qamar revealed that she is both thrilled and nervous. Qamar will go to Mumbai next month and will work on the movie until October.

The main reason behind her attraction for Bollywood is the verity of a role they offer. She told that “Actors here need to try out different roles and not the same ones. Look at the Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone. She has starred in so many diverse roles.”

The star from the Manto movie stated that Pakistani artists require being much ardent regarding their work. She continued that “I don’t understand why actors in our country do not work on their given characters. Their energy levels are so low and their workmanship is not good either. One should be passionate about their work. We need to let go of our egos and work tirelessly.”

According to her local movie actors do not confer the appropriate share of significance to their characters. She told that “Pakistani actors are not interested in rehearsing their roles again and again,” she feels that there is no shortage of this issue in India. She added “Vidya Balan attended a 12-day workshop for her role in a previous project. Alia Bhatt is undergoing a 30-day workshop for Udta Punjab as well.”

Whereas Qamar may appear to have a lot of concerns about the Pakistani entertainment industry but she has not twisted on it. The performer is at present holding two acting ventures concurrently — one is Wajahat Rauf’s Lahore Se Aagey and the second is TV serial Besharam. She stated “Some parts need to be dubbed for Lahore Se Aagey. Besides that, I am busy recording the last episode of Besharam as well,” almost immediately later than her return from India, the actor will start advertisings of Lahore Se Aagey that will release on 11 November.

She was revealing her role in Rauf’s movie “This girl is full of life and is a rock star. It is something I have never done before. I have worked very hard and given my best shot in terms of learning from different experiences and outdoor shooting,” she went on saying “I went along the lines of the director who wanted my loud energy to be there and that is exactly how I have enacted my role.”

She was sharing about the film Karachi Se Lahore and added, “This script is much better than the previous script. From the cameo performances by the lead actors, everyone has worked really hard on the sets.”
