Dear Rakhi Sawant, ‘pasting’ the PM on your ‘posterior’ will not get you more films


Judging  by  the  outrage  it  has  triggered  online,  Rakhi  has  achieved  what  she  aimed  for.

Mumbai: From political forays, to Swayamvars, to press conferences seeking a ban on ceiling fans, one can expect Rakhi Sawant to do anything to grab eyeballs.

And in her latest attempt to create some flutter, Sawant has posted an image of herself in Instagram wearing a balck dress, albeit a tiny little detail: it has the Prime Minister’s face printed all over, including the, ahem, posterior!


The actress wore the outrageous garment when she was attending an event hosted by the Federation of Indian Americans in Illinois on August 7, to celebrate the 70th Indian Independence Day.  

And judging by the outrage it has triggered online, Rakhi has achieved what she aimed for.



Something you don’t know about Rakhi Sawant:

Rakhi Sawant was born on February 3, 1980 in Mumbai, India. She is an actress, known for Main Hoon Na (2004), Masti (2004) and Dil Bole Hadippa! (2009).

Known as the “Item Girl” of Bollywood, Rakhi has been charged for Obscenity for her gestures and skimpy costume at a stage show in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India.
Before Rakhi was famous she worked odd jobs. She once worked as a server at Tina Munim‘s wedding.
Went by the name Ruhi Sawant in the Early part of her acting career.
Posed topless in the Indian adult magazine “Debonair” in 1992. She went by the name Sheeba.
