Disney bans the infamous Selfie Stick

Disney Theme Parks announced today that it would be banning the Selfie Stick from its United States parks and would come into full effect on Tuesday. Hong Kong and Paris will follow the ban and have it full effect on Wednesday.

The Selfie Stick has grown immensely in popularity and first started in East Asia and it caught on to the entire world, but this fad has now raised safety concerns as people can get easily hurt if not careful with the devices.

“Handheld extension poles have become a growing safety concern for both our guests and cast.” a spokesperson from Disney told BBC News.

Early last year, the Smithsonian Museums throughout the world placed a ban of a similar one on the selfie stick and also said the same thing, that it raises safety concerns.

Apple also placed a banned on the selfie stick while its WWDC conferences which were held earlier this month in the U.S.

It’s great thing to see that this fad of the Selfie Stick is being put away and banned for now many people are getting annoyed of this horrible trend.
