Extracurricular Activities



All and sundry wants a break from his daily schedule and if we talk about children then it is compulsory to grant them break. What a blissful movement if the break is sumptuous with watching movie. Fifth Karachi International Children’s Film Festival was organized for ten days.  It was organized by The Little Art in collaboration with Teachers’ Resource Centre at Cinepax at Ocean Mall in Clifton and City Auditorium in Federal B. Area and the faces of children was glowing with joy. It was ended on Wednesday and demonstrated that this kid of amusement is obligatory to systematize.

Students elucidated their views that how they enjoyed it a lot.  Ishmael Khan, a class eight student articulated that “I thought maybe we were going to watch a Hollywood, Bollywood or Lollywood film. But this turned out as something else,”. Marwa Baloch from class one was much eager and she wanted to converse her occurrence with animations. They were all energized and pleased while going there, some of them were not even visited before the multiplex,” said Omar Ijaz Khan, manager programmers at The Little Art.

The films were carefully selected, education-based 56 films from 22 countries with some significant lesson in them. Almost 5,500 children visited there for watching the shows over these 10 days. Some students pertaining to media studies were also visited to lean the art of film making and the various techniques used and it is going to planed to expand the activity additional by appealing some of the film-makers for interaction with the audience.

Teachers were also happy to see the student’s enthusiasm and they were of the view that it is a good opportunity for students because textbooks are not enough to teach students, extracurricular activities are also having worth. Field trips also have importance. The students can also get the information of other countries style and culture and also know how to conduct their self in public places and how to react in crowd.
