Since the Indian extremist party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has banned Pakistani actors in the aftermath of Uri attacks, it seems that Bollywood is split into two groups. One is pro-Pakistani actors and another is against them. Whereas some condemned the ban threat, others supported it. Indian film director, film producer, actress and Choreographer Farah Khan, also got on the bandwagon and has spoken up regarding the matter.

She was stating in an interview and supported the ban by stating that Bollywood doesn’t need Pakistani actors.

She, who has choreographed dance routines for more than a hundred songs in over 80 Hindi films, has stated “I think from now on, if you are saying we should not work with them, I say we have enough talent in our country and we should work with people from our country,”

She was comparing the artists from both countries and said that Indian artists are better than Pakistani ones.

The Happy New Year director further added “What do we don’t have that they have? I think we are far better. So, we would work with our people. I would definitely prefer to take somebody from my country for my movies.”

She also supported her Bollywood friends like Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. The 51-year-old Farah also said that “I think there are a handful people, they are not even handful but may be two people we are talking about. They are not important in the scheme of things.”

Farah added that the ban must not be imposed on the movies that have been accomplished with Pakistani actors in it since those movies were done when it wasn’t illegal to have Pakistani artists.

She further continued “When they did those movies, it wasn’t illegal to have Pakistani actors working in Indian movies. The movies were shot at considerable expense and hard work; I don’t think it is fair to ban those movies.”
