Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain(PSG) are all locked up in fatal four-way battle of £60 million for Europe’s hottest property Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
Presidential candidate for Barca, Agusti Benedito said that he can convince Juventus and Paul Pogba to join the newly crowned European Champions if he is elected as the President of Football Club Barcelona.
Talking to the media, Benedito said, ‘I have spoken to Pogba. First, I contacted Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, then spoke directly with the player.’
He further said, ‘They have proposed an annual salary of £8.6m after tax and a transfer fee of £57m.’
The 22 year-old French has become the center of gravity for the Blues, both Spanish Giants and the Champions of his home country.
City has made a bid for Pogba, Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling and Wolfsburg forward Kevin De Bruyne for a summer rebuild. After bidding £25m for Sterling, the Blues are looking to give a second offer of £30m.
