‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ ‘Pixels’ nominated for Razzies



The Hollywood is steamed up with awards season and the annual Razzies Awards, full name The Golden Raspberry Awards, organized on Wednesday gave the year’s nastiest achievements in movie with heated romantic film “Fifty Shades of Grey” and Adam Sandler’s video game adventure “Pixels” amid the apex nominees, whereas Sylvester Stallone was privileged with a salvation.

“Fifty Shades of Grey,” “Pixels,” sci-fi saga “Jupiter Ascending,” comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” got six nominations, and superhero “Fantastic 4,” which landed five nods, will compete for the Razzies worst picture award.

Award ceremony which was founded by American copywriter and publicist John J. B, Razzies, created in 1980, provide an answer to Hollywood’s prestigious Oscars ceremony, as managers select to give victors of the year’s nastiest movies with a gold-spray-painted trophy worth $4.97.

Stallone, who triumph his initial Golden Globe previous week for reprising his iconic character as Rocky Balboa in “Creed,” is selected for the Razzie Redeemer Award, giving from an “all-time Razzie winner to 2015 award candidate.” He will contend for the name with Will Smith, designated for his saving character in “Concussion,” actor-director Elizabeth Banks for directing the hit “Pitch Perfect 2” and terror filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan for directing hit horror “The Visit” later than a swing of flops.

There are almost 900 members in the committee of Razzies who vote online for winners of the Razzies and anybody can vote online, with memberships opening at $40.

The Razzies award ceremony usually organizes in Hollywood on the night prior to the Feb. 28 Oscars ceremony and those privileged rarely turn up.

Recurrent Razzie choice Sandler, designated for five repeated years, this year achieved nods for nastiest actor in “Pixels” and nastiest screen combo for ‘Adam Sandler & Any Pair of Shoes” for his character in “The Cobbler” – regarding a cobbler who can magically step in the shoes of his clientele.

Eddie Redmayne, who was the nominee for best actor for his character in “The Danish Girl,” got a worst actor Razzie nomination for “Jupiter Ascending,” whereas Rooney Mara, who was nominated for Oscar best actress got worst underneath Razzie nod for her character as Tiger Lily in “Pan.”
