Football player Shahlyla Baloch passes away1,494 views
Pakistani professional footballer Shahlyla Ahmadzai Baloch passed away in a car accident late on Wednesday night in Karachi.
Her family has confirmed in an interview that Baloch was sitting in the passenger seat when the accident happened in Karachi’s DHA Phase VIII area.
A family member of her stated that “It is true that she passed away,”
The family member continued by saying that “she was traveling in the passenger seat, and the car slid.”
The 20-year-old Baloch was one of the optimum strikers for Pakistan women’s football team. She represented the country at the South Asian Football Federation Women Football Championship 2014 in Islamabad, which was the last international occasion that Pakistan women’s team participated in.
Previously, Baloch became the initial Pakistani woman who attains a hat-trick abroad all through her spell in Maldives. She as well made the score sheet in Pakistan’s 4-1 victory on Bhutan in 2014 SAFF Women’s Championship.
She played as a forward for the football club Balochistan United, FC in the domestic circuit and the Pakistan national women’s team.

She was the daughter of Pakistani women’s football President Rubina Irfan and the sister of Balochistan United and National team manager Raheela Zarmeen.
She started playing football when she was 7 years old and received the FIFA’s youngest player award at the age of 7. She has been awarded as the best player of Pakistan thrice i.e. 2009, 2011 and 2013.
Once she stated that “Have been criticized many times but that never stopped me from playing. I respect everyone’s way of thinking and I think they have the right to say anything they want to.”
