Here the list of Filmfare awards 2016



Filmfare Awards 2016 was conducted in Bollywood industry and stars glittered and gleamed on the red carpet and some won desirable Filmfare Awards.

Here is the list of the some big winners.

Best actor award won by Ranveer Singh for Bajirao Mastani and Deepika Padukone best actress award for Piku.

Bajirao Mastani won the Best film award and Sanjay Leela Bhansali bagged the Best Director.

Anil Kapoor won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) for Dil Dhadakne Do.


Priyanka Chopra won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) for Bajirao Mastani but Deepika took the award on Priyanka’s behalf.

Arijit Singh won the best singer award for ‘Sooraj Dooba’ from Roy and beat Pakistani singer nominee Atif Aslam for Badlapur’s ‘Jeena Jeena’.

Best Lyrics award won by Tamasha movie ‘Agar Tum Saath Ho’ and Best Playback Singer (Female) was Shreya Ghoshal who won award for ‘Deewani Mastani’ from Bajirao Mastani.

Critics Choice

Big B looks every bit the winner, even without the trophy by his side – he went on to win the critics’ Best Actor (Male) award

The Critics’ Choice awards brought into the winner’s fold some of the talent sidelined by Bajirao Mastani’s sweeping victory.

Piku won Best Film, its lead actor Amitabh Bachchan won Best Actor (Male) while Kangana Ranaut bagged a well-deserved Best Actor (Female) for Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

Experienced actress Moushumi Chatterjee who appeared in Piku as Deepika Padukone’s happening aunt was tributed with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades of contribution to the Indian film industry.


Armaan Mallik, the young singer, was recognized for his musical talent with the RD Burman Award.

The debut awards for a male was given to Sooraj Pancholi for Hero and Bhumi Pednekar bagged Best Debut (Female) for Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Neeraj Ghaywan won The Best Debut Director award for Masaan.

Best Action, Best Choreography, Best Costume and Best Production Design were won by Bajirao Mastani.

Best Background Score and Best Screenplay were given to Piku.

Best Dialogue award was given to Tanu Weds Manu Returns whereas Bajrangi Bhaijaan won the Best Story award.

Best Cinematography award was given to Dum Laga Ke Haisha while Talwar won Best Editing award and Best Sound Design, and Best VFX was given to Bombay Velvet.
