Ho Mann Jahaan marked Rs100 million843 views
Ho Mann Jahaan, which released with the ceremonies of the New Year, earned progress on the box office. The initial week boosts the business and the second week ensures the ultimate fate of the film which sustained after the completion of its second week. The film marked Rs100 million, a figure cited by Jerjees Seja, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ARY Films,
Nevertheless, regardless of meeting the landmark, Ho Mann Jahaan’s presentation observed a minor dip later than a very successful initial week. At the release of the movie, it had earned around Rs32.5 million in the space of two days but it has just grossed about Rs70 million since then.
However, the movie is running smoothly in local cinemas. Khorem Gultasab, who is the general manager of Super Cinemas in Lahore, stated that “The first week for the film was just brilliant and even recorded excellent turnouts during weekdays. Even in the second week, people are coming to see the film and it has 60% occupancy.”
He considers that it all depends on the film’s content that grasped the audience to come at cinemas to watch the movie. “During the daytime we have university students and groups of friends coming over and in the night, families come to see the film.”
Whereas the film has impressed cinema’s audiences and now it is on its verge to being cut short, Farrukh Rauf, who is the director of Capri Cinema, gave clue as, “Barring the second weekend where we saw an excellent turnout, occupancy has been close to 20%,” While he didn’t pinpoint the specific causes for reducing in demand, but he thinks that the success of Dilwale made it hard for the movie to continue the single screens.
Now it has to see that whether Ho Mann Jahaan will cross the Rs200 million marks at the local box office and international popularity holder Mahira will assist to beat that mark.
The film released on 1 January around 85 screens in Pakistan.
