It was inquired from Huma, who was there at the launch of the song this week, that whether she had heard the original. Replying to the question, she stated, “Of course I had heard the song before. I am a huge Nusrat fan.”

Salim-Sulaiman, Music composers, have reworked on the song with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who has lent his voice to the novel version. Huma is working as a cast member in opposition with Vidyut Jammwal in the video that has been directed by Kiran Deohans.

Stating on the track, Huma told, “When I was told that this song is what they were doing and Rahat Sahab has sung it and Vidyut is in it, I just jumped at it and said, ‘Yes, I’ll do it’. I didn’t have to think about it too much and of course, Kiran sir was going to direct me and his work is legendary.”

Huma and Vidyut perform as lovers in the video. Whereas Huma is keen to leave for Bangalore for her job promotion, Vidyut is looking sad with her verdict. “As far the preparation is concerned, Vidyut will testify. We did a lot of rehearsals. And especially [for] the scene that everyone has liked, we did a mini-workshop,” she continued “I think that helped the chemistry. If we didn’t spend that kind of time together, may be it would not have been possible.”

Huma stated that Vidyut was continually worried regarding appearing similar to a male bigot in the music video. Huma ended “And I was worried that I wouldn’t look like an irritating girlfriend. So this was a very fine line we had to tread so as to make it anti-break-up, while still keeping the romance intact,”
