Humaima Malick featured in women rights advertisement


LAHORE: Pakistani actress and model Humaima Malick has joined hands with Punjab governemnt to fight for women rights.

Government of Punjab posted an advertisement on Twitter featuring the Bol star.

“@HumaimaMalick comes together with the govt of Punjab to fight for women rights #WomenProtectionAct2016,” the government’s Twitter account read.


“More power to @HumaimaMalick for supporting #WomenProtectionAct2016,” it added. Earlier this week, Humaima slammed India for banning the minority Muslim community from eating beef in several states. Her reaction came after Indian media reported that two Muslim women were beaten up by Hindu volunteers over suspicions that they were carrying cow meat. “Forcing an entire community from eating meat and punishing them for doing so is not terrorism?,” Humaima questioned.  

Her tweet ignited angry response from Indian twitterati who trolled the Pakistani model for her stance.

Humaima started her career as a model, at the age of fourteen when she first walked the ramp for fashion designer Deepak Perwani. Since then she has appeared in fashion shows for numerous designers.

She made her acting debut in the serial Ishq Junoon Deewangi. She then appeared in Barish Kay Ansoo, Tanveer Fatima (B.A), Tair-e-Lahoti, Aja Mai Tennu Pyar Kara, Talluq and Akbari Asghari.

She made her film debut in Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol. She is currently working in her Bollywood film Sher directed by Soham Shah.

Humaima Malick Mini Biography:

Humaima Malick did her first ramp walk for a fashion show of the renowned fashion designer Deepak Perwani. She was only 14 years old at that time. This escapade launched her into the world of lights and glamor.

Soon she was cast by Saqib Malik for a Fair & Lovely campaign. Further to come was her part in a Pepsi campaign. She was the youngest actress in the entire cast. This was an achievement to be remembered at such a phase of her life.

She appeared in numerous advertisements and one prominent one was the Telenor TV advertisement in which she played the lead role. Recently, she was the star of an ensemble cast in “Ishq Junoon aur Deewangi” produced by Moomal Prodcutions and “Akbari-Asghari” produced by Six Sigma.

During the same span of time, Humaima achieved the position of the Brand Ambassador of Sunsilk. Lastly, Humaima Malick was signed on with the world renowned director/producer Shoaib Mansoor for his film ‘Bol’. This film has already earned an endless series of excellent reviews, just like its its predecessor film ‘Khuda Kay Liye’. This is Humaima’s debut on the silver screen.
