I Will Give Up My Career To Marry The Man I Love, Says Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif is one gutsy woman. Even when her personal life has always been in the spotlight for her personal relationships, that has never stopped her from putting her best foot forward professionally.

In a recent interview with Rajeev Masand, Katrina explained how she takes every emotional setback and emotional baggage as a challenge. However, in a recent interview with Indian Express, Katrina Kaif spoke her heart out about professional and personal choices.

When she was asked if she will choose between career and love or marriage, she had an interesting answer to give. She said that she won’t mind giving up her career for the love of his life. She said,

“Absolutely, if I wanted to. I will not, being forced or coerced into it. If that is what I felt then absolutely yes. If I feel my heart should be at home and raise children absolutely yes. I believe that every woman should follow her instinct.”

If we recall Baar Baar Dekho’s trailer, there is a dialogue where Siddharth’s character chooses to back out of marriage for his career. When Katrina was further asked if she would make a similar choice, she said,

“I choose to take the stand that it isn’t gender thing but a personal thing. There are many women who don’t want to settle down and want to focus on their careers and I also know many men who wouldn’t want to get married and focus on their careers.”

Making a valid point on how women see and feel differently, she said:

“If one has to generalise then by nature women are more inclined towards family. And towards attachment and protection. Most women are like that. There are women who see differently and feel differently. But if you ask me personally, then I would like to choose both.”

Katrina Kaif opens up on break up with Ranbir Kapoor!

After Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up about his much talked-about breakup with longtime girlfriend Katrina Kaif, quizzing the latter on the same is nothing unexpected.

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, when the 33-year-old actress was asked how hard was it to be a professional when her personal life was in turmoil, she said, “Being an actor is quite a luxurious job, we have staff and we are treated specially. But if I worked in say, an office or if I had a normal job, you are still going to go to work. You are still going to be required to do your job, but you are still feeling it in your heart, right?”

Ranbir, Katrina’s split came during the shoot of Baar Baar Dekho, but she did not allow herself to get affected by this emotional crisis.

“You know, in some way all the attention is a good thing. It forces you to step up. It forces you not to indulge in self pity and feeling sorry for yourself. It forces you to get yourself together and stand up quicker because you want to show your best face to the world,” continued the actress.

“You can have your moments where you cannot be any lower and things cannot be tougher, but I take it as a challenge, and that’s what you have to do,” she added.

Sometime back, Ranbir, in an interview with the same journalist, opening up about the break-up and said, “Whatever I say on any platform is grossly misconstrued. Over the years, I have realised that my personal life is very dear to me especially what my relationship with Katrina is, or was or what it’s going to be. I think after my parents, she’s been the most influential and motivational entity in my life. I don’t want to speak about it. There is no negativity, no sense of bitterness, so there’s nothing to talk about.”

“You don’t need to know if I’m affected or not. My relationship was really punctured by a lot of things; baseless rumours, reports, perceptions. I don’t want to clarify. There’s no awkwardness, as a matter of fact it’s amazing. We’re actors. We aren’t here to bring our personal life and emotions. We come on sets, we bring our characters; emotions. She brings her game on the set and in return I bring my A-game,” he added.

On a related note, the Fitoor actress and the Barfi actor will be seen together in Anurag Basu’s upcoming movie Jagga Jasoos. Presently, Katrina is busy promoting her upcoming movie Baar Baar Dekho with Sidharth Malhotra, slated to hit the theatres on September 9.
