I’m a big movie buff: Zoya Akhtar



Zoya Akhtar, the director of the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, who in recent times shot a promo for an imminent American TV channel, stated that emerging in front of the camera was not a traumatic experience for her. She is the sister of Bollywood’s flair house Farhan Akhtar, revealed that she didn’t consider as she was doing some alien job. Zoya quoted in an interview that “Instead I feel like me,”

She continued bay saying that “Being directed was the easy part as I had a decent communicator. Facing the camera wasn’t harrowing but being made up was the uncomfortable part. It was funny because whoever knew I was doing this, laughed at me,”

The Dil Dhadakne Do maker is the community ambassador of the channel. She will appear as a spokesperson for the community that grateful for quality cinema.


She was stating regarding her association, “I’m talking to people like me and my tribe. Also, I’m a big movie buff. I watch one movie at least once a week, so I can understand people who like watching films and I am talking to them.” The channel is scheduled to be commenced with the TV premiere of Oscar-winning movie Spotlight in July.

She is recognized as one of the few candid persons in the entertainment industry. Zoya was the newest personality to criticize superstar Salman Khan, later than he compared himself to a raped woman when inquired regarding the exhausting shooting of Sultan. The 43-year-old director stated that it is upon Salman to make a decision if he desires to apologize or not. Zoya told that “Everybody has reacted in their own right. I think the comments shouldn’t have been made. But, I can’t be the one to decide if he should apologize or shouldn’t, it is up to him,”
