I’m not impressed by Virat Kohli, says Ahmed Shehzad



ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad said that he is not impressed with the batting style of India’s Virat Kohli.

He further said that he always tries to improve his batting style and he doesn’t follow any other international cricket and he also doesn’t like to be compared with any of them.

While talking to the media, Shehzad said that when he comes at the crease he has a positive state of mind and he will improve his strike-rate with a passage of time. He also said that when he came from Under-19 he had a lot of flair in his batting style, but as the time passes you have to take high risks for the betterment of your team.

The 23 year-old Shehzad added that he can play cricket for a long time and wants to make his name in international cricket. He said that its my dream to play 100 Tests and represent Pakistan in all three formats of the game, he also said that to improve your performance you have to enjoy your game of cricket.


He praised Pakistan’s T20 skipper Shahid Afridi and said that Afridi has always treated him as a younger brother, he had learned a lot from Lala. Shehzad also said that Afridi helps all the youngsters at the time when they are struggling. Talking about Younis Khan, he said that the former captain has some untouchable services for Pakistan as Test batsman, he is a great player as well a great person also.

In a message for his critics, who say that Shehzad scores runs against weak opponents. He said that he had scored a century against South Africa in their home and scored his first Test hundred against Australia.
