Inzamamul Haq announced 21 players for skill camp263 views
Inzamamul Haq, new chief selector of Pakistan national team, proclaimed on Wednesday the names of 21 players who will be included in the skill camp which will occur from 30 May to 5 June to firm up the Test squad in opposition to England.
Though explaining the preparation for the camp, Inzamam stated that “The players will return from the fitness boot camp on May 27. They will be given a two-day rest and the skill camp will start from May 30 and continue till June 5.”
The 46-year-old more over proclaimed the A team which will visit England and shared that whoever will play, he will be provided an opportunity in the main team.
Inzaman further added “We all know that Pakistan’s tour of England will be tough,” Inzi added, “It can happen that we do not deliver victories, but I am hopeful that our youngsters’ cricket will improve.”
Inzamam also lamented the short of an all-rounder in the team.
He rued “We missed Saeed Ajmal after he was banned and we haven’t still been able to find his replacement. Likewise, we are finding it difficult to find all-rounders.”
Inzamam told that fitness camp in Abbottabad is assisting Pakistan players in elevating their standards of fitness.
Inzi stated that “I saw the camp, it was very good,” he further added “In the start, the boys found things a little difficult but then they started enjoying it. I think if we set up a camp for a longer period next time, it will definitely help players improve their fitness.”
Pakistan will visit England in July to perform four-Test, five-ODIs and one-off T20 series. The initial Test will be played on 14 July.
