Is Shahid Kapoor’s pointy moustache new look for Padmavati?

Shahid Kapoor is flaunting his pointy moustache on social media which could be his new look for the movie ‘Padmavati’.

Mumbai: Kapoor, who has been busy juggling between being a doting father to his newborn baby girl and preparing for his upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’, is seen flaunting his pointy moustache on social media and we cannot help but sigh in awe.

Shahid was last seen sporting a similar look while filming his upcoming period drama ‘Rangoon’ where he plays the role of a soldier. So, why, after wrapping the last schedule of the film in March this year, is Shahid donning this look?

According to reports, The ‘Udta Punjab’ star will be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s (SLB) historical drama ‘Padmavati’, also starring Ranveer Singh as the ruthless ruler Alaudin Khilji and Deepika Padukone as  Rani Padmawati, who was known for her beauty and intellect.

After giving back-to-back powerful performances, the ‘Haider’ star is on a roll and his association with SLB proves that he has entered the big league with a bang.

While Shahid’s new look has got everyone speculating, we are beyond confident that Shahid will do complete justice to the character of Raja Raval Ratan Singh, Deepika’s husband in the movie, with or without that pointy moustache.

Shahid’s rise to stardom reads like a bollywood script: from a struggler to a winner. With his hard work, perseverance and sincerity, he has written his own destiny.

Shahid is a mine of unabashed talent and spark, beneath his calm and innocent veneer. Shahid Kapoor is young and vibrant, with a magnetic charm and easy going candour that sets him apart from the rest. His debut performance as the young and carefree boy-next-door in “Ishk Vishk” was not only applauded but also awarded the Filmfare Best Male Debut. Shahid does justice to his characters each time, be it the sensitive ‘Aditya’ in “Jab We Met” or the two diametric opposite characters of ‘Charlie’ and ‘Guddu’ in “Kaminey” – he stops at nothing short of perfection! Shahid’s unique style and the ease with which he can handle a range of characters, from the dramatic to the emotional, leave nothing to be wished for!
