It took Yasir Shah just nine Tests to break into ICC Top 1077 views
It took Pakistani leg-spinner Yasir Shah just nine Test matches to break into the International Cricket Council Top 10 Test bowlers rankings, thanks to Sri-Lanka that he is on the No.9 spot in the ICC rankings.
The 29 year-old Yasir who belongs from a Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has bagged 54 wickets in just nine Test matches with an average of 25.11, which includes three five-wicket hauls and three four-wicket hauls.
In the ongoing three match Test series against Sri-Lanka which is now tied to 1-1 after two Test matches, Yasir bowled Pakistan to 10-wickets victory with a seven-wicket haul in the first Test match at Galle. He also bowled good in the second Test match, while taking eight wickets collectively in both innings but Pakistan’s batting line-up failed to fulfill its duties.
Yasir took his 50th wicket when he dismissed Sri-Lanka’s captain Angelo Mathews, which made him the fastest Pakistan bowler to reach the fifty mark.
