Just like Bolt his name vanishes from the 100m list

KINGSTON: The World’s fastest athlete Usain Bolt withdrew his name from the 100 meters at Jamaica’s national trials, raising speculations on his fitness ahead this year’s World Championships in Beijing.

The World record holder for 100 and 200 meter has struggled this year, as his best time for this year is 10.12 seconds in Brazil and 20.13 in Ostrava.

The 10-times World Championship medalist won this year’s New York Diamond League 200m with the time of 20.29, he showed his interest to run at the Jamaican trials to regain his racing form.

But the 100m list released by the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) here on Wednesday didn’t contained the name of Usain Bolt.

Bolt registered his name with Yohan Blake, Asafa Powell and Nesta Carter for the trials according to the JAAA on Sunday.

The six-time Olympic Gold medalist, Bolt will defend his 100m and 200m World title in the upcoming World Championships at Beijing starting from 22nd to 30th August.
