Katrina faced difficulty pretending Tabu’s daughter727 views
Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif, who will be seen as performing Tabu’s daughter in the imminent movie Fitoor, shared that it was very difficult for her to imagine that Tabu is her mother. In a report, she told that “The hardest thing in this film was pretending that Tabu is my mother. She does not look like my mother from any angle … she is like a friend. I enjoyed the days we spent together in the film,”
Kaif further added that “She is one of the warmest and most down-to-earth people. She is a phenomenal actor so whenever you are in front of her, you should remember not to get lost in her performance, but contribute to it. We have been so fortunate that she was gracious enough to step in,” initially the role was given to Rekha but she stepped out then Tabu was offered the role. The film is an Indian adaptation of Charles Dickens classic novel Great Expectations. Katrina was sharing the Tabu’s role in Fitoor as “For me, the most important thing was to try and understand this girl’s [her character’s] mind. Is she manipulative … is she like that? And for whatever reason, she has always been a complicated character. Tabu and I spent a lot of time discussing and trying to give life to this character.”
The initial trailer of the movie has been recently released and showing Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina, and Tabu in lead roles. The sizzling chemistry of leading duo, Katrina, and Aditya, has already elevated the expectations for the movie.
Fitoor is the story of a budding artist, Noor (Aditya), who falls in love with Firdaus (Katrina). But there’s a catch in the story in the form of Begum Hazrat (Tabu). The background music by Amit Trivedi makes the trailer, even more, attractive. Apart from the leading roles, the cast includes Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta, and Rahul Bhatt and Fitoor is going to release on February 12.
