Khalnayak is set to remake with Sanjay Dutt1,697 views
Khalnayak was the 1993 Bollywood action thriller film which was produced and directed by Subhash Ghai. The movie got extensive popularity worldwide. Now after many years the makers of Khalnayak have decided to remake it and the movie is going to return with a sequel that will see Sanjay Dutt reprising the iconic character of Ballu Balram.
Bollywood’s hit director Subhash Ghai stated in an interview that “We’ve made an agreement to produce Khalnayak Returns which will roll by the year end or early next year,”
The decision is made after Dutt’s release from jail. Dutt was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act in April 1993, due to illegal arms possession. The terrorism charges were dropped, but he was convicted of illegal possession of arms. After serving his sentence with good behaviour and conduct, Dutt was released on 25 February 2016.
In 2006, Ghai received the National Film Award, for producing the social problem film Iqbal. He continued by saying that “He (Sanjay Dutt) will play Ballu Balram who comes out of jail after 20 years. The script is at its final stage. Once it’s complete, we will announce the rest of cast and credits,”

The 71 year old Ghai, who has given hit movie like Karz (1980), Hero (1983), Meri Jung (1985), Karma (1986), Ram Lakhan (1989),Saudagar (1991), Pardes (1997), Taal (1999), has further stated that “He made a soundtrack with some voice over in the background which I loved. Impressed with his passion for the film, we decided to take the idea forward,”
After listening the news, the fans of Dutt and Khalnayak are waiting for the release of the movie.
