KARACHI: Once considered an unstoppable force in the World of hockey sports Pakistan is hanging to threads to qualify for the Olympic Rio Games 2016.
After suffering a 2-1 quarter-final loss to England at Hockey World League(HWL) in Antwerp, Belgium. Pakistan will play a match against Ireland for 5th and 8th position, while Malaysia will face France for the same positions.
And the winner from France vs Malaysia will face winner of Pakistan vs Ireland for the 5th and 6th position, Greenshirts must finish their tournament on 5th spot in order to qualify for the Rio Games 2016.
