Lej Chief Malik Ishaq Killed with sons in encounter


LAHORE: Malik Ishaq, chief of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (banned sectarian outfit) has been killed with his two sons and 11 accomplices in an alleged encounter that took place in Muzaffargarh.

These militants were killed as a result of exchange of fire when they tried to free Malik Ishaq who was in custody of security personnel of counter terrorism force.

Six of these militants managed to escape from the site whereas six policemen also got injured during this encounter that occurred at Shahwala when Ishaq was being taken to Muzzafargarh from Multan.
