LONDON: Lord Nazir Ahmed of House of Lords, London has written a letter to Saudi Prince and raised concerns about the detention of Pakistani citizen Zaid Hamid.
Lord Nazir states in his letter clearly that he doesn’t agree with the views of Zaid Hamid, but his detention is a human right issue upon which Pakistani authorities have failed to raise their voice.
He also demands that Saudi authorities should make clear that whether he is a political prisoner or a threat to national security of their country.
Zaid Zaman Hamid visited KSA for Umrah with family where in a private session he criticized Saudi Government’s policy on Yemen and War on Terror and someone reported it to the police that led to his arrest.
