Makers of Star Wars were considering Leonardo DiCaprio



It is reported that the creator of the hit Star Wars was thinking about the American actor and film producer Leonardo DiCaprio to perform the role of Anakin Skywalker in two prequels of the sci-fi fantasy. Nevertheless, the primary arrangement never turned up.

Leo, who began his career by appearing in television commercials, also affirmed that he was in consultations to perform Anakin Skywalker. The Great Gatsby actor stated in an interview that “I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that, yes,” But Leo further stated that he refused the offer by asserting, “Didn’t feel ready to take that dive at that point”.

Then the role was given to the actor Hayden Christensen in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

There were some more rumors abuzz that Leo screen-tested to perform Robin in Batman Forever and was also offered to perform Spider-Man prior to Tobey Maguire.

He refused the rumors by saying that “I never screen-tested for Robin. I had a meeting with Joel Schumacher. It was just one meeting and, no, I didn’t end up doing it,” he then added that “I didn’t want to play the role. Joel is a very talented director but I don’t think I was ready for anything like that.”

Whereas disclosing factors regarding the character of Spider-Man, Leo stated, “That was another one of those situations, similar to Robin, where I didn’t feel ready to put on that suit yet. They got in touch with me.’’

The megastar also exposed that he might finish up performing a superhero in the upcoming time. He stated that “You never know. You never know. They’re getting better and better as far as complex characters in these movies. I haven’t yet. But no, I don’t rule out anything,”
