Meera’s advice to Afridi and the boys



Pakistani very famous actress, Irtiza Rubab, well known by her stage name Meera, had unique advice for the Pakistani cricket team, which plays its initial match of the ICC World Twenty 20 in opposition to Bangladesh.

The 39-year-old Pakistani movie actress, television presenter, model and leading philanthropist has given advice to the team that “Don’t give into pressure, give the pressure.”

She was speaking to the media at a press conference at her home in Lahore, where she gave the subsequent message to the Pakistani cricket team:

She stated as “Please play very well. You’re in India representing Pakistan and you have to return as winners. Don’t give into the pressure, give the pressure. I hope you play well.”

She further added by saying that artists or sportsmen shouldn’t feel pressurized. Her word was as, “You just can’t perform in those conditions,” she continued by saying that “We have a team of confident performers; it’s one of the best in the world. I’m sure they’ll play superbly.”

She also shared her wishes and said that her whole family is praying for the team to win:

“The Pakistani team has all my support. My whole family is praying that the team wins the match tomorrow.” She added.

It was inquired regarding Afridi’s recent statement about receiving much positive reception in India, Meera’s reply was as, “Maybe he wants more appreciation? But he should have been more balanced [in his statement.] Anyway, it’s okay.”

The Lollywood actress who got nationwide critical acclaim in 1999 for her lead performance in Khilona (1996–97), further stated that “I invite the whole team to watch [my next film] Hotal upon their return to Pakistan and ask them to support Pakistani cinema.”
