MQM lawmakers submits resignations in NA, Senate, Sindh Assembly59 views
ISLAMABAD/ KARACHI: Members of Muttahida Quomi Movement (MQM) in National Assembly Senate and Sindh Assembly have submitted their resignations in person to the respective authorities.
According to the recent report of ARY News, Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq has accepted the resignation of 24 MQM MNAs.
MQM has reservations over the ongoing Karachi Operation against militancy which they feel injustice and victimization of them as their party is being sidelined.
With 24 legislators in NA, MQM is the fourth largest party of the lower house of parliament whereas in upper house it is the 3rd largest party with 8 senators. In Sindh, MQM is the second biggest party of the province and in opposition with 51 lawmakers in the house.
MQM Leader in NA Farooq Sattar alleged that room is being created for PTI in Karachi for upcoming LB Elections and we have left with no other option but to resign.
