Muhammad Yousuf labeled T20 format pure ‘entertainment’

Muhammad Yousuf, who is the previous Pakistan test cricketer, stated on Saturday that victory in the Test format describes a cricket player, whereas classifying the T20 format as pure ‘entertainment’ for the common public.

The 41-year-old experienced player, who showcased Pakistan in 90 Tests, told that the five-day game is much arduous for cricketers whereas the T20 format just gives entertainment for the informal audience.

He was telling in an interview that “Playing in Tests, you have to be mentally and physically alert and have the ability to last for five enduring days, whereas T20 is a three-hour bash and entertainment for casual spectators,”

Yousuf moreover stated that the T20 game deters the development of players.

He continued by saying that “Frankly, I’m not enthusiastic about the T20 game because it stunts development,”

The experienced player moreover told that players, for example, Sir Garfield Sobers, Steve Waugh and Imran Khan have uttered distress that T20 cricket, in general, appears to be conquest and decreasing the significance of Tests and one-days.

Yousuf, who is at present visiting Bahrain at the enticement of Bahrain Cricket League, became concerned in cricket as a youngster. He was persuaded by Pakistani legends such as Saeed Anwar and Inzamamul Haq.

He continued by saying that “I never dreamt that one day I would represent my country and lead it, which has been a great honor for me,”
