Muneeb Butt sets to debut in indian TV series



Pakistani actor Muneeb, who initiated his career with his forgettable romantic-comedy, Halla Gulla, last year, is set to debut Indian series’ first season which is directed by Waqqas Qadir Shaikh. Waqqas has in the past worked as assistant director at Warner Brothers.

Muneeb stated in an interview that he signed the venture before the Pak-India tensions and just went to Dubai later than being contented with the arrangements.

He told that “I signed this project when the Pak-India relations weren’t as tense. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive post the Uri attack tension,” he explained “I had a talk with the team and told them straight up that if I feel a negative vibe on the set, I will leave and come back to Pakistan. I will not compromise my country’s dignity and my own self-respect. However, the makers are thorough professionals and they have agreed to all my terms and conditions.”


The Pakistani actor is helpful of cross-border ventures with the faith that the trade of talent assists in elevating one’s contact and widening one’s horizon.

He further told that “Pakistan and India’s cultures are not very different from one another. Our talent has the potential to be recognized and appreciated at international platforms and if we are approached to work for their [Indian] productions, it does ultimately benefit us as well.

While Muneeb considers that there is just one specific group that is against the idea of Pakistani artists becoming to India, he upholds that the broad populace on both the sides oppose war culture and require peace and harmony.


Khwabon Ke Darmiyan, which as well characterizes experienced Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh (who has broadly worked in Bollywood also), generally holds Indian cast involving Bigg Boss Season 1 contestant, Aryan Vaid and Indian TV actor, Sachin Khurana.

“The character that I play is a multimillionaire party boy. Khwabon Ke Darmiyan will be aired on Indian channel Zee TV and also on Pakistani channel Geo Entertainment.
