Never dreamt of romancing younger girls: Naseeruddin Shah



Naseeruddin Shah is a straightforward man and veteran actor from Bollywood. The 66-year-old actor has given many blockbusters. Whereas megastars at present have no doubts in romancing heroines half their age but shah at the latest Osianama festival in Mumbai, said regarding his irregular career’ and confessed that he never consider him as a ‘hero’.

He stated that “I never dreamt of being a commercial hero. I never dreamt of romancing girls younger than my daughter,” His comment is a lucid reference to Bollywood’s trend to duo young actresses with old A-listers. For example, Sonam Kapoor performed with superstar Salman Khan in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is going to romance with Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s subsequent movie.

The plain speaking performer also stated that it was very difficult to become friends with other actors. He stated it as, “Actors are anxious people as well as me. It is not likely to be friends with other actors. I can’t actually assert that I am friendly with other actors. The friends who I have been not from the profession of acting.”

He was going on by giving solid career advice for hopeful actors and other artists. He stated that he was never afraid of failure as an artist whereas initiating out. He further stated that “You could call it self-confidence or madness but I was perfectly convinced this is what I wanted to do and so there was no point thinking about what will happen if I don’t succeed.”

In a reply about the tag of unconventional, Naseeruddin then stated that “I don’t assume that I have an alternative regarding that. I assume it was for the reason that my career began with the different type of cinema. I was chosen for those films. I might have desired to turn a well-liked type of a performer and work in the song and dance sorts of films. That’s not how it accrued. So my being labeled unconventional is not my doing.”
