No competition between Mahira and me: Mawra330 views
Where the Pakistani heartthrobs like Fawad Khan and other male actors are working in Indian film industry the leading ladies of Pakistan are also going to debut in Bollywood like Mahira Khan and Mawra Hocane.
Mawra Hocane will be seen in imminent Bollywood movie Sanam Teri Kasam and Mahira Khan will be share screen with Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan in Raees.
While Mawra Hocane says that there is no competition between two actors as the Humsafar star is someone whom she looks up to and is proud of.
Mawra was telling to an Indian news agency that “When Mahira’s show Humsafar released I was not even an actor. I look up to her. She is stunning and truly gorgeous in the real sense. There is no competition at all. She has been in the industry longer; it has been only two-and-half years for me,”
Mawra was very excited in expressing that she is debuting in Bollywood at the same time as Mahira. The 23-year-old actress said, “I feel great that we will be debuting in Bollywood in the same year. I am really proud of her. It will be wonderful because we both will be nominated as debutantes and that is something fantastic,”
She was also telling that her movie Sanam Teri Kasam will release in both countries at the same time in February. She asserted that “People in Pakistan did not expect the film to be this big. They are thrilled and the word of mouth is very positive there. No one of my age [from Pakistan] has come to India and done a film. Nobody has been ‘launched’ in that sense. I am extremely grateful that I am a part of this film,”
She was sharing that how she got the role in the romantic-drama movie, “The makers had called me and narrated the story on Skype. When they said that it’s a story of a simple, bespectacled girl I knew I would be doing it. Because when you have a girl with spectacles, you will also have her transformation. I will get to show both sides, I was on board instantly.”
She further continued that she is happy and not nervous regarding the release, “I am not nervous really. I am not over-confident either but very satisfied because what we wanted to create, we have achieved that. Everyone worked as a team and I am very pleased with the result,”
She is acting in the movie opposite Harshvardhan Rane which is scheduled to release on 5 February.
