According to our correspondent, the notices were issued to PM Nawaz Sharif, his brother Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, wife Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif, son Hussain Nawaz Sharif and two other family members.

The Sharif Family has been ordered to file response by April 18.

The court issued notices while hearing a petition filed by Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffri. The petition has impleaded 64 politicians as respondents, including Sharif family, Chaudhry Brothers and Imran Khan.

Yesterday, the LHC admitted for hearing a petition seeking to declare the PM as ‘disqualified.’  It was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s senior lawyer Gohar Nawaz Sindhu, who is an advocate in the LHC.

Sindhu has impleaded PM Nawaz Sharif, the federal government, ECP, NAB, FIA, Rehman Malik, Maryam Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz as respondents in the petition.

He stated in the petition that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif be declared as ‘disqualified’ for not disclosing details of his full assets in the nomination papers submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Earlier today, a similar petition was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan seeking to declare Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as ‘ineligible’ after claims of Panama Papers.
