One-off T20: Pakistan optimistic to end England tour with victory390 views
MANCHESTER: Pakistan will take on England in the one-off Twenty20 international in Manchester on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
Pakistan will be looking to end the tour to England on a winning note. The team leveled the four-match test series 2-2 and lost the ODI series 4-1.
Wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed will lead the visitors in the T20 game and eyeing to guide his team to victory in his first match as captain. He was named skipper of the T20 side after Shahid Afridi resigned as the captain of the team.
In an interview, Ahmed said that he was excited and hopeful for the match as the victory in the last ODI match of the series raised the morale of the team.
Ahmed said that the team who performs well on the field emerges winner. He added, “In T20 cricket, the team is not seen on paper.”
The Pakistani captain stated that he has put up a young team and will try to win the game.
Amad Butt, Sohail Tanvir and Khalid Latif have been included in the Pakistani squad for the game. Mohammad Irfan will not be a part of the team after being ruled out with an injury.
