Owais Shah recovered in operation near Tank


TANK: Security forces recovered Owais Shah, son of Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) Sajjad Ali Shah, in an operation near Tank on Tuesday.

According to details, the son of CJ Sindh High Court was recovered by security forces in an intelligence based operation. Three terrorists were also killed in the exchange of fire.

It should be noted that terrorists had kidnapped the son of SHC chief justice Owais Shah on June 20, 2016 from Karachi’s Clifton area.

Sources said that the militants, who were taking Shah to Afghanistan, opened fire at the security forces when they were signaled to stop at a check post. An exchange of fire took place between the two parties after which three terrorists were killed.

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif congratulated Sajjad Ali Shah on the recovery of his son. He also congratulated the security forces for carrying out a successful operation.

Director General of Inter Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Asim Bajwa in his tweet stated that Owais Shah was recovered through an Intelligence Based Operation near Tank.

Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul-Ebad-Khan telephoned the chief justice of Sindh High Court and felicitated him on his son’s recovery. He said that the terrorists failed to cross the border due to high security.
