A one-day tournament, Pakistan Cup, is just like previous year’s Pentangular Cup. The opening session of the Pakistan Cup is going to start today when Balochistan will occupy Punjab at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.

The tournament is going to organize under the auspices of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and it is a part of the PCB’s endeavors to perk up the excellence of domestic cricket in the state.

In overall, 11 50-over matches will be performed with the country’s most talented 80 cricketers displaying their expertise in five teams like Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Capital. Every team will play four league matches whereas the final will be played between the top two teams on 1 May.

The player rewards have as well been elevated considerably, a 100% increase from what players get in the Pentangular Cup, with a main emphasize on making sure player’s benefit, whereas a U19 player has been involved in every team.

Sarfraz Ahmed, Pakistan’s T20 skipper, who is guiding the Sindh side as well, considers that the contest will be a gigantic step for juvenile cricketers. Sarfraz stated all through a practice session at the National Stadium in Karachi, “We have a great chance to polish our one-day skills ahead of a long season. It is great to see such innovations and I am confident that the youngsters will benefit from this,”

Azhar Ali, the OID captain, who is guiding a powerful Balochistan side, as well hurled his weight in the wake of the tournament. He added, “The Pakistan Cup is going to provide quality entertainment for cricket fans. All five squads are evenly balanced and this will ensure competitive cricket,”

At the same time, nine pitches are going to organize for the Pakistan Cup with five being organized for the matches, whereas the other four will be employed for the practice sessions.
