Parents use Facebook more than non parents

Parents are eager to use facebook and mobile devices have made it easy. A new study conducted by Facebook IQ stated that parents spend 1.3 times more time on Facebook than non-parents.

Facebook IQ further stated in a blog post that “Having a child changes everything — including parents’ relationship with their mobile phones. Moms’ and dads’ mobile phones have become their lifeline to managing schedules, keeping tabs on teens and sharing their kids’ key milestones,”

Blog further added that “By observing behaviour on Facebook, we see that parents over-index on mobile usage. In fact, parents globally spend 1.3X more time on Facebook mobile than non-parents,”

The social network conducted research and interviewed parents from 25 to 65 years in eight markets — Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Britain and the US, they analyzed Facebook and Instagram data with the assistance of Ipsos MediaCT and Sound Research.

The research study stated that the parents from 18 to 34 years were 30 percent more likely than the parents from 50 to 65 years to employ their mobile devices to get much information purchase choices.  83 percent parents told that they can get more information than their parents did. Whereas 70 percent of net parents told that they are much informed than their parents were, 76 percent of parents told that they got the Internet and mobile devices facility at afterward stages in life.

Amusingly, over 50 percent of parents told that their kid, or kids, has much effect on buying decisions than they did whereas developing.

The research study also discovered that whereas parents are sharing many choices with their kids, they are also studying to prioritise their own requirements so they can be better equipped to tend to their family. The blog further cited that “Parents are increasingly realizing that if they take care of themselves first, they will be able to deal with their daily responsibilities and stresses and tend to their family’s needs in a loving and energetic way,”
