Pakistan cricket legend Wasim Akram showed a completely new romantic avatar on Indian small screen via “The Kapil Sharma Show!”.

The cricket legend made his first public appearance with his wife Shaniera on the Indian show, which is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

“When Kapil asked him about his love story, Akram confessed that it was love at first sight for him. He also admitted that he had never actually proposed to anyone in his life, but with Shaniera he knew he had to do it immediately,” said a source.

The source added: “Then Wasim went down on his knees with flowers and a ring. He was ecstatic when she accepted his proposal. Shaniera responded by saying she will accept his proposal no matter how many times he proposes.”

The episode will be beamed this weekend.

The Kapil Sharma Show is an Indian Hindi stand-up comedy and talk show television series, which premiered on 23 April 2016 and is broadcast on Sony TV and Sony TV Asia. The series is produced by K9 productions of Kapil Sharma and Frames. This series is aired on every Saturday and Sunday nights. The First promo of the show was launched by Kapil Sharma and his team on 1 March 2016. Besides Kapil, the show stars Ali Asgar, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar, while Navjot Singh Sidhu serves as the permanent guest. The first episode of the show was shot in Delhi, and it was a live show.

The producers have geared up for a huge show, already investing 50 lakh (US$74,000) just for the first promo of the show.

Kapil Sharma and his team has performed live in Delhi, Lucknow, Bhopal and Amritsar before the premiere of the show for its promotion. The show is a finite series of 26 Episodes.
