Our correspondent said the PM expressed his resentment over ‘lax security arrangements’ in Lahore.

The PM scolded IG Punjab for not abiding by orders issued two month ago regarding a decisive operation against criminals and militants in South Punjab.

In his fresh directives, the PM ordered authorities to kick off a large-scale operation to eliminate hideouts of banned organizations in South Punjab’s Kacha (riverbed) area.

Punjab’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) will lead the operation with help of Rangers and army. Rana Sanaullah will supervise the action and directly report to PM, sources said.
